Purnakala School of Indian Art presents Art for All Workshops

Hands-on gateways into India’s painting traditions

Purnakala is delighted to bring in-person traditional Indian art workshops to the Seattle community! In this first module from Sept 2025 to Jan 2026, we will be exploring Classical Painting Traditions of Southern India.

December 2025: Kerala Mural Painting Workshop

In December, step into the centuries-old tradition of South India's Kerala Mural Painting which adorns the walls of ancient temples and palaces in Kerala. In this workshop, we will explore the fundamental lines and patterns which form the building blocks of creating Kerala murals and learn the traditional technique of painting using the Panchavarnam color palette.
